Good figure, slow shipping

I got an anime figure, a Nendoroid, during one of their sales. The figure itself is authentic and looks great, no complaints there. The price was competitive too. However, the shipping felt a bit slow; it took nearly two weeks to arrive even though I picked a faster option. The tracking was updated, but it still felt like it sat for a few days before moving. Customer service answered my shipping question quickly though, which was good.

Decent value, but watch shipping

I decided to try JList for the first time after seeing their selection of Japanese stationery. I specifically ordered a few sets of Kanji flashcards and a Genki textbook. The prices for the items themselves were good, especially compared to some local stores. I also signed up for their newsletter to get a small discount, which helped. The shipping cost was a bit higher than I anticipated, which ate into some of my savings, but overall the total was still reasonable. The package arrived in about 10 days, everything was packed securely. I'd consider buying from them again for specific items, but I'll definitely check the shipping costs more closely next time before committing.

Good snacks, fast shipping

I ordered some Pocky and a DIY candy kit. The items arrived quickly, took about 5 days to reach me. Everything was well-packaged. The Pocky box was a little dented on one corner, but the snacks inside were fine. I'd order again.

Textbook and manga order

My recent order was for a Japanese language book and a few volumes of manga. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, pretty easy to navigate. Delivery took about 12 days to New York, and everything was packed tightly, no damage to any of the books. I had a question about one of the manga volumes before ordering, and their customer support got back to me within a day, which was helpful. The quality of the books was excellent, as expected. The only minor thing was that the tracking updates weren't super frequent, but the package did show up when it was supposed to.

Great selection, good service

I ordered a few items: a Genki textbook, some Tabi socks, and a small Maneki Neko. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I received an email confirmation right away. Shipping was estimated at 7-14 days and it arrived within that window, around day 11. Everything was carefully wrapped, especially the Maneki Neko, which was fragile. The book was in perfect condition. I did have a question about tracking that I sent to customer service, and they responded within 24 hours, which was helpful. The socks were a bit tighter than I expected, but still good quality. Overall, a positive experience and I'd recommend them for Japanese goods.

Good value on anime figures

I was looking for a specific anime figure, a Figma, and J-List had it for a decent price during their holiday sale. I compared it to a few other sites, and even with shipping, it felt like the best deal. The figure arrived safely, although the box had a small scuff mark. It was packaged well, with plenty of bubble wrap. I was happy with what I paid versus what I got. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth, especially with the discount.

Reliable for figures and snacks

This was my fifth order from J-List. I usually get figures and some snacks like the unique Kit Kat flavors. They're consistently good with packaging, and the items always arrive in perfect condition. Shipping took a little longer this time, about 10 days for my Nendoroid, compared to the usual 7. Still, they deliver authentic products, which is why I keep coming back. Their loyalty points also add up nicely.

Always reliable for snacks

I ordered a bunch of Japanese snacks again, mostly Pocky and some Dagashi. Just like my last few orders, everything arrived well-packaged and fresh. It took about 9 days to get to me in California, which is pretty standard for them. I've bought from JList many times over the years because I know what to expect.

Does J-List have any first-time buyer discounts or like, a newsletter signup code? Trying to save a few bucks on my first order.

A Amanda Hill 1 month ago
I think if you sign up for their newsletter, they send you a discount code. It's usually like 5-10% off.

Yep, definitely sign up for the email list. I got a code for 10% off my first purchase that way.

Thinking of trying out the adult section. Is it discreetly shipped? Don't want my mailman judging me.

D David Torres 1 month ago
Totally discreet. The packaging is just a plain brown box, nothing on the outside to indicate what's inside. You're good.

N Nancy Sanchez 1 month ago
Yeah, they're super careful about that. No weird labels or anything. Just looks like any other package.

Can you use more than one discount code on J-List? Got a newsletter sign-up code and a loyalty points thing.

M Michael Parker 4 weeks ago
I don't think you can stack codes. Usually it's one coupon at checkout. You can convert points to store credit though, which is kinda like a discount.

Nah, only one coupon works. Choose wisely!

Thinking of trying out a snack box. How long does shipping usually take to California? Trying to figure out if it'll arrive before a party next month.

M Megan L. 1 month ago
It ships from Japan, so it can take a bit. I'd say give it at least 2-3 weeks, maybe more depending on the shipping option you pick.

Yeah, I'm in NorCal and mine usually takes like 10-15 business days with standard shipping. Express is faster but costs a lot more.

Considering ordering some adult items, but I'm a bit worried about the packaging. Is it discreet?

L Lisa Ramirez 4 days ago
Totally discreet. The box doesn't say anything about what's inside, just looks like a regular package from Japan. No branding on the outside.

N Nick 2 days ago
Yeah, they're good about that. I've received several orders and you wouldn't know what it is unless you opened it.

Hey, anyone know how long shipping usually takes to California? Thinking of grabbing some manga but need it by next month.

A Alex Flores 3 weeks ago
It can vary a lot tbh. I've had stuff come in like a week, but also waited closer to three. Depends on the shipping method you pick, I think.
5
O Olivia 3 weeks ago
Yeah, if you need it by next month, you should be fine. I'm in NorCal and my last order (figures, not manga but same difference) got here in about 10 days with standard airmail.

Hey, I'm looking at getting some Nendoroids from J-List. Are their figures legit, or do they sell knock-offs sometimes?

S Sofia Smith 3 days ago
Nah, they're all authentic. I've bought a bunch of stuff from them over the years and never gotten a fake.

P Paul H. 2 days ago
Pretty sure they only deal in official stuff. They've been around forever, pretty reputable in the anime merch scene.

Are their figures actually legit or do they sneak in bootlegs sometimes? Don't wanna get scammed.

J Jeff Williams 1 month ago
Nah, J-List is super legit. Been buying from them for years and never gotten a bootleg figure. They're good about that.

They're an established seller, definitely authentic. It's one of the reasons I usually go with them over some random eBay seller.
